The Asset Management System is a centralised system for managing all of an organisation’s infrastructure and operational assets.
The system has a layered structure. At the highest level are the Assets. These are grouped under Asset Classes. Each Asset comprises one or more Components.
The system serves a number of asset management purposes including:
– Asset renewal planning
– Works program development and monitoring
– Asset accounting including asset revaluations
– Asset statistical reporting.
The system is supported by several ‘behind the scenes’ features to assist with managing assets. These include a Component Library and user defined Dropdown Lists..
